Contributing back to the community

As part of the empowerment process, Youth Futures encourages and advances mutual commitment, tolerance, sustainability, and social responsibility. The Mentors lead many varied volunteer activities, guiding children and families in assisting at risk populations – including the underprivileged, senior citizens, individuals with mental illness, and individuals with special needs – as well as preserving the environment and wildlife.

We believe that developing emotional sensitivity and emphasizing the importance of giving back to one’s community empowers the children, fortifies their individual resilience, and inculcates them with values that will accompany them as adults. Together with the communal activities of the program throughout the year, an annual national Youth Futures volunteer day takes place in the month of Kislev.
