About Us
Youth Futures has been working to promote social mobility since 2006, with the goal of reducing risk situations among children and their families in approximately 60 local authorities located in Israel’s social and geographic periphery.
The uniqueness of the program lies in its Mentorship Model—a distinctive, holistic accompaniment model based on a meaningful, long-term relationship between the child and their family and a Mentor, a significant adult who serves as a role model. Each Mentor works full-time and provides individual, personal support to 15 boys and girls over the course of three years, accompanying them on a unique journey of growth and development. In addition, the Mentor leads a small social group of six children in a one-year short-track program focused on developing social skills, personal empowerment, and strengthening a sense of belonging.
The Mentorship Model offers a personalized response to children and their families across emotional, social, educational, familial, and community domains, within a supportive and inclusive framework that maps all areas of life and helps build stability and an optimal vision for the future.
In addition, since 2017 Youth Futures has operated the “Heartbeats” program—an intensive support program for parents of young children from the prenatal stage through age three. The program aims to strengthen parental identity, encourage optimal child development, and establish a meaningful family vision from the earliest stages of parenthood.
Youth Futures is a public benefit company (PBC) and a subsidiary of the Jewish Agency for Israel. It is supported by the Jewish Agency for Israel, JFNA, Keren Hayesod, the Mandel Foundation, the Ministry of Education, Mifal HaPais, local authorities, and private donors from Israel and around the world.
